Hotel & Travel
Transportation Information
Ground transportation will be provided to and from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) on July 8th and 15th. Veterans that are driving to Detroit will be responsible for their own parking and associated fees.
Airline flight numbers and arrival/departure times must be entered into registration by the Veteran or coach by June 5, 2026. Transportation will not be provided if flight information is missing or incomplete. Veterans will pick up their own baggage at the Baggage Claim at the Airport and Volunteers will be available to assist. NVWG luggage tags will be provided at the airport.
Hotel Information
All teams are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Rooms are on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations open on April 20, 2026. The last date to make reservations, based on availability, is May 20, 2026. The hotels require a valid credit card to secure a guest room reservation. A credit card will be used as a guarantee and will not be charged unless the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of arrival or no shows.
Hotel Assignments
There are four official NVWG hotels for athletes. Each team is assigned to a specific hotel. Hotel and team assignments can be found here.
Reservation Process
Reservation booking will open on April 20, 2026. Accessible rooms are not assigned by the hotel and must be requested in NVWG registration.
Athletes/Coaches will be sent the reservation link for their assigned hotel only.
Coaches, if you need to make 10 more reservations please email Kaitlyn Walker at KaitlynW@pva.org to set up a sub-block for your team.
If an athlete will NOT have the credit card used for paying room and tax at check-in please be sure to complete a credit card authorization form. This is an additional step after making the hotel reservation.
Room Rate
Cost per room, per night will be the prevailing Government Rate, currently $152 per night or $1,064 for a seven-night stay.
Non-Exemption
The Games room rate is $152 per night plus 16%, which is $176.32 per night or $1,234.24 for a seven-night stay.
There are a limited number of $152/night per diem rate rooms, available on a first come, first served basis. Additional hotel rooms for the Games will be available for $189-$229 per night.
Tax Exemption
If you are tax exempt in the state of Michigan, please fax or email a copy of your tax exemption form to the hotel reservation team prior to arrival and provide a copy of the list of names this will apply to.
Portage
A mandatory baggage handling fee of $8 (subject to change) per bag round trip for each bag that arrives from the airport will be charged to your room at check-in as an incidental.
Incidentals Policy
A hold will be placed on the credit card provided at check-in for incidentals (e.g. portage fee, parking, room service, etc.). The amount varies based on the hotel.

Complimentary self & valet parking. The hotel valet entrance is on Brooklyn Street and is open 7am-11pm daily for arrivals, 24/7 for departures
Hotel Cancellation Policy
The hotel will allow attendees the right to cancel their guestroom reservations without penalty up to 72 hours prior to the day of arrival. The hotel shall charge the individual attendee or team one (1) nights guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax after such date or for failure of the individuals to check-in on the scheduled arrival date. You must notify PVA of any room cancellations via email: KaitlynW@pva.org.
Rentals
Roll-aways are not available. Contact the hotel directly to request a refrigerator if needed. Refrigerators are NOT included in all guest rooms.
Accessible Rooms
Accessible rooms are not assigned through the hotel. Please request an accessible room in registration. Rooms will be assigned based on need. Personal Care Rooms with an accessible roll-in shower will be available by hourly sign-up through the front desk or guest services. Email Kaitlyn Walker at KaitlynW@pva.org with any questions.
