Hotel & Travel
Ground transportation will be provided to and from Portland International Airport (PDX) on July 3rd and 10th. Veterans that are driving to Portland, OR will be responsible for their own parking and associated fees.
Airline flight numbers and arrival/departure times must be entered into registration by the Veteran or coach by June 1, 2023. Transportation will not be provided if flight information is missing or incomplete. NO Luggage Tags are needed this year. Veterans will pick up their own baggage at the Baggage Claim at the Airport and Volunteers will be available to assist.
All teams are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Rooms are on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations will open on April 19, 2023. The last date to make reservations, based on availability, is May 19, 2023. The hotels require a valid credit card to secure a guestroom reservation. A credit card will be used as a guarantee and will not be charged unless the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of arrival or no shows.
Cost per room, per night will be the prevailing Government Rate, currently $182 per night or $1,288 for a seven-night stay.
The Games room rate is $182 per night plus 16.57% which is $212.16 per night or $1,485.12 for a seven-night stay.
Occupancy Tax Exemption:
If you are occupancy tax exempt in the state of Oregon, please fax or email a copy of your tax exemption form to the hotel reservation team prior to arrival and provide a copy of the list of names this will apply to.
There will be two official NVWG hotels for athletes. Each team is assigned to a specified hotel to make reservations.
**Subject to change based on actual registration. All assignments will be confirmed prior to reservations opening on April 19, 2023.**
Reservation booking will open April 19, 2022. Please wait until the booking window opens to contact the hotel. Accessible rooms are not assigned by the hotel and must be requested in NVWG registration.
Individuals and teams will be able to make reservations beginning April 2023.
Coaches, if you need to make 10 more reservations please email Marisa Ramos at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a sub-block for your team.
If an athlete will NOT have the credit card used for paying room and tax at check-in please be sure to complete a credit card authorization form. This is an additional step after making the hotel reservation.
A mandatory baggage handling fee of $8 (subject to change) per bag round trip for each bag that arrives from the airport will be charged to your room at check-in as an incidental.
A hold will be placed on the credit card provided at check-in for incidentals (e.g. portage fee, parking, room service, etc.). The amount varies based on the hotel:
DoubleTree: $50 per night.
Courtyard: N/A – Credit card required at check-in, but will only be charged at check-out for any incidentals incurred.
DoubleTree: $27 overnight self-park
Courtyard: $26 overnight self-park
Hotel Cancellation Policy:
The hotel will allow attendees the right to cancel their guestroom reservations without penalty up to 72 hours prior to the day of arrival. The hotel shall charge the individual attendee or team one (1) nights guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax after such date or for failure of the individuals to check-in on the scheduled arrival date. Roll-aways are not available. Refrigerators are included at all of the athlete hotels.
Accessible rooms are not assigned through the hotel. Please request an accessible room in registration. Rooms will be assigned based on need. All accessible rooms assigned to athletes will have an accessible tub. Athletes will not be assigned to an accessible room with a roll-in shower. Personal Care Rooms with an accessible roll-in shower will be available by hourly sign-up through the front desk or guest services.
